About GIC'90

GIC'90 is a group of experts in multilingual communication, each with specific expertise in various fields and all exclusively members of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC).

GIC'90 is a nonprofit organization, interpreters are recruited with no intermediaries and no markup for commission fees.

GIC'90 offers one-stop solutions in setting up teams of interpreters selected from a worldwide network of more than 2600 members in over 80 countries.

Formally GIC'90 is a partnership set up in Italy in 1990.

Language combination

The language combination of interpreters consists of their [A], [B] and/or [C] languages. Interpreters can be recruited on the basis of active languages (spoken) and passive languages (listened to) used during conferences.

  • [A] language
    The native language into which interpreters work from all their other languages.
  • [B] language
    A language other than the interpreters' native language, of which they have a perfect command and into which they work from one or more of their other languages.
  • [C] language
    The language(s) interpreters have a complete understanding of and from which they work.
